Beam Fieldwork Shortlisted for Recruitment Excellence at the 2026 MRS Oppies Awards.
We are proud to announce that Beam Fieldwork has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Recruitment Excellence category at the 2026 MRS Oppies Awards, in recognition of our Donor Insights study.
The Market Research Society’s Oppies Awards celebrate the teams working behind the scenes to make high-quality research possible. The Recruitment Excellence category recognises participant recruitment specialists who can source hard-to-reach audiences, meet demanding timelines, maintain rigorous quality standards and build exceptional partnerships with clients throughout the fieldwork process.
This is especially meaningful for Beam, as we have now been shortlisted in the Recruitment Excellence category for three consecutive years: 2024, 2025 and 2026.
Our 2026 Finalist Study: Donor Insights
Our 2026 finalist nomination recognises our work on a complex multi-country charity research project involving active registered donors and non-registered charity supporters.
The study required bespoke recruitment routes, detailed phone screening and donor-status verification, alongside sensitive GDPR-compliant data handling. We delivered a 100% verified sample, with zero discarded data points, and achieved 95% attendance among registered donors and 100% attendance among non-registered supporters, all within budget.
The project demonstrates the qualities celebrated by the Recruitment Excellence category:
- Rigorous quality controls through robust participant validation, data protection and industry best practice
- Problem-solving and agility to recruit highly specific audiences through trusted, bespoke channels
- Transparent project management and close collaboration with clients, moderators, venues and participants
- Measurable impact through reliable, high-integrity research data and exceptional attendance rates

A Track Record of Recognition
We are also proud of our previous Oppies success. In 2024, Beam was a double winner, receiving Best Online Qual and RAS Independent Recruiter of the Year, awarded to Caitlin Patterson.
These awards recognised the team’s work on projects including a UK soft drink challenger brand and an EDI in-store experience study.
Recognising the People Behind the Work
Our success is driven by the expertise, dedication and care of the people behind every project. We are proud to have team members whose contribution to the research industry has been recognised through individual MRS and RAS awards:
2026: MRS Research Hero, Amy Middleton, Founder & Director
2024: RAS Independent Recruiter of the Year, Caitlin Patterson, Winner and Specialist Project Manager
2023: MRS Research Hero, Alicia Whyatt, Senior Project Manager
These accolades reflect the values that underpin Beam Fieldwork: exceptional participant care, rigorous recruitment standards, proactive problem-solving and genuine partnership with our clients.
Thank you to our clients, participants and partners for trusting us with your research. We are looking forward to celebrating with the wider industry at next month’s awards.
Wish us luck!
