Our commitment to mental health charity, Mentell started in 2023. BEAM have been proud to continue supporting them ever since.
Mentell means a great deal to the BEAM team because of the vital work they do, it’s because their mission reflects the human connection and empathy we value so deeply in the work we do.
Shared insights
Mentell found BEAM in 2023, through the lived experiences of two of our B2B participants. Mentell had provided a lifeline for them and for other men who needed a safe, judgment-free place to talk.
They described how Mentell had offered a confidential space (‘safe circles’) where they could meet and speak openly. And how men could contribute, listen, or simply sit in presence at whatever pace felt right for them.
They told us that thousands of men across the UK had found relief and connection through Mentell meetings
They also told us about the lived experiences of families, partners, friends, and loved ones who had often felt the impact too.
How we support
Since 2023, we’ve supported Mentell. We’ve made donations and helped to organise their annual fundraising ball. And thanks to a simple process built into our day-to-day work, that support continues to grow.
Every time a member of Give Opinions (our panel) takes part in research, they receive a feedback link. And for every completed response, we make a donation to Mentell.
It’s a small gesture that adds up to meaningful support, driven by the people who take part in our research. With this model in place, we’re pleased to continue our commitment through to 2026.

Why Mentell
BEAM is a business with a largely female workforce. But we wouldn’t be heading into our tenth year without the many men that support BEAM through the ups and downs.
BEAM and Mentell share similar principles of ‘trust’ and ‘support’. Our shared values remain the reasons BEAM continues to support Mentell and their mission year after year.

2026 and beyond
Our pledge to Mentell reflects both our values and the community who take part in our research. Through donations and involvement, we hope to help more men access the space, calm, and connection they need in 2026 and beyond.
